MS/UPS Teachers - MINISTRY OF DEFENCE - Cyprus Station

MoD Schools

Supply Pool

MS/UPS Teachers

Fixed Term Appointments

Vacancy Number: 1499924

Are you looking for an exciting, interesting challenge overseas?

MoD Schools seek to establish a pool of teachers to be available for supply work as and when the need arises and to cover such occurrences as long-term sickness and maternity leave. If required, this would be for a minimum continuous period of four weeks with the possibility of longer Fixed Term Appointments of up to a maximum of 2 years.

MoD Schools overseas exists to provide the English National Curriculum to the children of British Service and MoD civilian personnel living abroad. The schools are mainly in Cyprus and Germany but there are also schools in Italy, Belgium, The Netherlands, The Falklands and Brunei.

Our schools strive to provide an exceptional educational experience, nurturing children to be happy, hold a strong sense of belonging within our strong communities, and to have the ability to make clear judgements. In this rapidly changing world, we must prepare children not only for their next schools, but also for the world they will be part of when they grow up.

The withdrawal of the British Military in Germany has lead to a reduction of schools and it is expected that MoD Schools in Germany will not continue beyond 2019. It is our aim to ensure the highest standards and continue to achieve good inspection results in the reducing/closing schools and the enduring schools .

We invite applications from experienced professionals who want to be part of one of our exciting and vibrant schools. We are seeking to appoint the very best creative and inspirational teachers to work in all phases from the Early Years through to Key Stage 5.

We offer a fantastic opportunity to teach the English curriculum in a Ministry of Defence school. Our children are enthusiastic, motivated learners that care for each other and are proud of their school.

A UK recognised teaching qualification and successful completion of induction year at the time of application are essential requirements.

Not all allowances apply to Fixed Term Appointments.

Interviews will be held in UK.
