Overview
The Regional Manager is responsible for the full representation of LE Miami within their respective markets, working to position LE as ‘an authority in contemporary luxury travel’. Delivering an annual sales target, annual buyer target and annual sponsorship target as defined by the Head of Sales and Travel Relations, the Regional Manager will have full ownership of the overall quality and freshness of the exhibitors on display and buyers invited.
Key duties and responsibilities:
To hunt down the most innovative, fresh and design led hotels from around the world.
To maintain existing and develop new customer and buyer relationships through face to face meetings, travelling abroad and attending industry networking events.
To generate new exhibitor and buyer leads from designated region.
To build an in depth understanding of the trends in the travel industry, new openings, what’s hot and what’s not, through research and networking and having a keen interest in travel.
To keep the Head of Sales and Travel Relations informed of the travel distribution channel evolution to allow him/her to reassess the business plan.
To generate, qualify and confirm sponsorship leads from both within travel industry and external industry sectors who want to profile to travel brands.
Responsible for producing a Business Plan within a month of the end of the show.
Responsible for restarting buyer/seller recruitment within 7 weeks of the end of the show.
Regional Responsibilities:
Southern Europe (Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Spain, Turkey)
Middle East
Africa
Central America
South America
Minimum Education required:
Educated to degree standard or equivalent
Background Knowledge & Experience:
3 to 5 years experience in the world of lifestyle travel, with at least 2 years at manager level.
Proven success in delivering sales revenues and exceeding targets in a face paced environment.
Specific industry and market knowledge of EMEA & Latin America.
Previous attendance at industry travel events as either an exhibitor or buyer.
Key Skills, Attributes and Abilities
Spanish, Portuguese and Italian are desirable
A real passion for the world of luxury hospitality/travel
Excellent interpersonal skills
Superb team players
Excellent time management and capable to do and resolve things very quickly and efficiently.
Must be driven by personally achieving targets
Able to bring new ideas to the table or to initiate better practice on areas of the BL team
Able to develop and maintain good working relationships at all levels, including during difficult or challenging circumstances
Ability to filter information and assess priorities effectively
Ability to work under pressure and be flexible as part of a small team
Attention to detail and deadlines essential
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to professionally represent the company
Willing to travel on occasion as required
