Service Engineer - Swanstaff Recruitment Ltd - Aylesbury

Swanstaff Recruitment is an award winning agency is working on behalf of its prestigous client who are currently looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join the UK branch of this multi national company with its UK office based in Aylesbury. The role is full time and permanent offering an excellent salary package .

The Role

Working as part of a small team of currently 4 personnel. There is a requirement to work independently and on your own initiative, and also to assist in all other duties at the Aylesbury office / warehouse as and when required. The ideal candidate will have come from a maintenance background who is looking for that change.

Training in stud welding and in particular stud welding relating to the automotive industry will take place initially at the Company Head Office in Gevelsberg, Germany and subsequently under the tuition of the current Engineer in Aylesbury, who is moving into other duties within the organisation.

The UK arm of the company serves customers in the UK, the Republic of Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Cyprus, Malta and Gibraltar.

Essential Skills :

• Maintenance background with knowledge in most or all of the following areas :
  


• Mechanical Fitting
  


• Pneumatics
  


• Industrial communications systems
  


• PLCs
  


• Welding (theory)
  


• Electrical qualification to IE Regulations 17
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience of SCR rectifiers
  


• Experience of Inverter Drives
  


• Electronics knowledge, including PCBs
  


• Forklift Driver
  

Personal Skills

• Presentable in appearance. There is a large degree of customer interface at an Engineering and, occasionally, Purchasing level
  


• Articulate
  


• Reasonable level of literacy, mathematical skills and computer literacy
